Teen Summer Reading at the Abington Public Library!

We know you are reading - so why not log your hours and donate them to help a Duck-billed Platypus and a Fennec Fox? Register online and get started. Once you register online the program will want to know the book you are reading, the hours you have read, and once you have finished the book there will be a chance to comment or write a review, recommend (or not.) Titles and comments will be available online without your name for others to see and get some ideas for their own reading.

If you prefer the "old fashioned" paper method we would love to see you in the library turning in paper Platypuses for every hour you read. All of the necessary materials will be available in the Teen Room. We really do look forward to seeing you. Amy and Sandy both have desks in the Children's Room so come find us if you need help finding a book or want a book suggestion.

What to read? Read whatever you want! Summer reading is all about choice and reading for fun- novels, non-fiction, graphic novels, audio books, whatever. Don’t know where to start? Check out our Teen Bookish page for some suggestions. And don't forget the ebooks and audio we have available through Overdrive and Hoopla  as well as magazines on Zinio (and on your various devices via the appropriate app.)

To help celebrate Summer Reading we have some fun events planned for you this summer:
