Earlier this year, President Trump signed Executive Order 14238 that resulted in the loss of federal funding from the Institution of Museum and Library Services. Funding from IMLS was used for a variety of purposes, including statewide databases. Due to these cuts, several statewide databases will no longer be available beginning July 1st. For a list of databases that will be discontinued, as well as what will remain availble after July 1st, please review this flyer.

The Massachusetts Statewide Databases cover a variety of topics including biography, literature, newspapers, nursing and the social sciences to name only a few. These databases are brought to you by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and Massachusetts Library System with state funds and federal Institute of Museum and Library Services funds.
