Teen Events 2026

Next TAB meeting will be Tuesday, September (TBA), 2026 @ 5:30 – 6:30.
The first Tuesday of the month means it’s time for a meeting of the Teen Advisory Board (TAB) here at the APL. What is TAB? It’s a group of teens in grades 6-12 who get together once a month to discuss the goings-on at the library! Interested in becoming a member? Stop by the library to grab a registration form at the front desk! Our Teen Advisory Board meetings are funded by the Friends of the Library.

Back by popular demand is mini golf at the library! Have you ever imagined what a mini golf course throughout the entire library would look like?! On Wednesday, June 24th, the APL will be transformed into a huge mini golf course for patrons of all ages to play. Our friends from One-Up Games will be here to set up an elaborate 18-hole course and provide all materials for friends and family to come and enjoy! This is a drop-in event; registration is not required.

Teen Book Tasting

Teen Crafternoon with Pop Up Art
Monday, July 13 from 6:30 – 8:00
Learn the joy of needle felting with Pop up Art School in a friendly environment. Using colorful wool and a special barbed needle you will sculpt a fun green carnivorous plant complete with fangs and a bright red tongue, all rooted in a real terra-cotta pot. This playful needle felting project is a great introduction to a unique, tactile craft and results in a finished piece that’s equal parts quirky, cute, and display-worthy. This program is for teens entering grade 7 and up. Registration is required and begins in person on June 23rd and online on June 30th.
This program is funded by the Anderson Foundation.
