Teen Events 2026

Logo for Abington Public Library featuring a stylized grid design above the text. Below it, Teen Advisory Board is written, indicating a program or group for teens at the library.

Next TAB meeting will be Tuesday, September (TBA), 2026 @ 5:30 – 6:30.

The first Tuesday of the month means it’s time for a meeting of the Teen Advisory Board (TAB) here at the APL. What is TAB? It’s a group of teens in grades 6-12 who get together once a month to discuss the goings-on at the library! Interested in becoming a member? Stop by the library to grab a registration form at the front desk! Our Teen Advisory Board meetings are funded by the Friends of the Library.

Teen Crafternoon with Pop Up Art

Monday, July 13 from 6:30 – 8:00

Learn the joy of needle felting with Pop up Art School in a friendly environment. Using colorful wool and a special barbed needle you will sculpt a fun green carnivorous plant complete with fangs and a bright red tongue, all rooted in a real terra-cotta pot. This playful needle felting project is a great introduction to a unique, tactile craft and results in a finished piece that’s equal parts quirky, cute, and display-worthy. This program is for teens entering grade 7 and up. Registration is required and begins in person on June 23rd and online on June 30th.

This program is funded by the Anderson Foundation.
