Kids Summer Events
for our youngest readers
Just because we have special programming for our Summer Reading Program doesn’t mean that we do not continue with our Story Hours- Summer Style!
And we hope you will log your reading minutes to help us help an elephant and a giraffe!

Tuesday, June 30 from 12:00 – 1:00
Kids entering grades 4-7 are invited to join Miss Amy for Summer Lunch Bunch. The first meeting we will get to know each other and take home our summer read. We will meet back up on Wednesday, July 29th to discuss the book! Be sure to pack your nut free lunch and a drink both days! Registration is required and will begin in person on June 10th and online on June 23rd.
Lunch Bunch is funded by the Friends of the Library.

Summer Crafternoon
Kids entering grade 1 and up are invited to put their artistic skills to work during our summer crafternoon! This month we’ll be constructing some whimsical bugs out of foam paper. Registration is required and begins on June 23rd.
Our craft programs are funded by the Friends of the Library.

Monday, July 3 @ 1:30 – 2:15
Little Bee Yoga
Miss Christine of Little Bee Yoga returns once a month on Mondays from 1:30 – 2:15 for our little yogis ages 3-5 and their caregivers. Participants need to bring a yoga mat or a towel and wear comfy clothing. There is no need to register- just stop on by and join the fun. Namaste

Rainforest Reptiles
Come see up close and personal some amazing reptiles.
This program is for kids going into grade K and up.
Registration is required and space is limited.
In person registration will start Tuesday, June 23,
and online registration will start Tuesday, June 30.
This fascinating reptile show is funded by the Friends of the Library.

Mama Steph Returns
for a morning of songs and stories. (We hope she sings “Trucks.”)
This program is best for kids ages newborn – 5.
Registration is required and space is limited.
In person registration starts on Thursday, June 25
and online registration starts on Thursday, July 2.
Mama Steph’s appearance is funded by the Melba Smith Fund.

Magic with Ed Pop
This afternoon will be filled with magic, stories, and laughter as Ed Pop returns to the APL.
This program is for kids going into grade K and older.
Registration is required and space is limited.
In person registration will start Thursday, July 9,
and online registration will start Thursday, July 16.
Our Magic Show is funded by the Friends of the LIbrary.

Lego Party
Thursday, July 23 @ 6:30
Cast your work and worries aside for an hour and join us for some creative building time. We have Duplo blocks available upon request for our younger friends who might not be Lego-ready yet. Families and family-like groups of ALL ages are welcome to attend. Challenge a neighbor! Bring a friend! Declare a Lego War! (This is not just for children but all children must be accompanied by an adult.)
