Kids Events

Aside from the Story Hours we offer in the Children’s Room, we are pleased to offer Lego Club, Crafternoons, the Preschool Playgroup,  Family Fun Nights and other fun events that happen (think Snowflake Workshop.) And we have plenty of games should you just want to hang with family and friends for an impromtu part of your day.

Neighborhood Forest Free Tree ProgramNeighborhood Forest Free Tree Program is a Minnesota based non-profit dedicated to giving children their very own tree to plant for Earth Day.

"We love trees! We want to give every child the priceless joy of planting and watching trees grow.

By doing so, we will beautify our neighborhoods, put a significant dent in our carbon footprint, and help instill in the hearts of our little ones a sense of magic, wonder, and love for our planet.

Neighborhood Forest gave 67,000+ kids their very own tree last Earth Day and we are aiming to reach 100,000 kids for Earth Day 2025!

Schools, libraries, and youth groups enroll in our program. Parents sign-up to get a free tree for their child ahead of Earth Day. Trees for kids are distributed, via the school, library, or youth group to plant with their family during Earth Week (April 22-30)."

Family Lego Night     6:30 PM

Family Lego Night ScheduleIt doesn't matter if you are 8 or 80.  There is something magical and freeing about snapping those Lego bricks together to create something new, so cast your work and worries aside for an hour and join us for some building time. We will also have some larger Duplo blocks available for our younger friends who might not be Lego-ready yet.  Families and family-like groups of ALL ages are welcome to attend.  Challenge a neighbor!  Bring a friend!  Declare a Lego War!

(This is not just for children but all children must be accompanied by an adult.)
